Suspect in South Central SWAT standoff in custody

Police said the suspect in a SWAT standoff in South Central El Paso is in custody.

At about 10:30 a.m. Friday, police responded to a family violence call on the 5800 block of Kurita.

SWAT was called to the scene when the suspect allegedly barricaded himself inside a residence.

At about 10:40 a.m., police said the suspect was in custody.
