Local doctor recommends screenings, check ups during Men’s Health Month
June is almost over, but there’s still time to recognize Men’s Health Month.
Its purpose is to encourage men to get screenings and check ups.
Health experts say it can help catch preventable issues and potentially providing early treatment for disease and injury.
ABC-7 spoke to urologist Mauricio Davalos about the importance of being aware of your health.
“We’re trying to find things before they get out of hand,” Davalos said. “That’s the reason why we do blood tests and some sort of more invasive or personal exams that may not be totally comfortable. We’re trying to find diseases before they become a problem later on.”
