Search ongoing for missing La Tuna inmate
An inmate from a prison in Anthony, Texas went missing on Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 5 P.M., Omar Castro was discovered missing from the Federal Satellite Camp Prison La Tuna, a minimum-security facility that currently holds 314 offenders.
The U.S. Marshals Service and other law enforcement agencies were immediately notified and an investigation was initiated.
Castro is a 38-year-old Hispanic male with black hair, and brown eyes. He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 195 pounds.
Castro was sentenced to 108 months for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
