Crime Stoppers: Men tricked cashier, stole more than $2,000

Crime Stoppers of El Paso is asking for the public’s help identifying two men who allegedly stole more than $2,000 from a Tractor Supply Store in El Paso’s Lower Valley.

On June 26, at 5:30 p.m., two men entered the store at 9541 Alameda. Police said both men asked to exchange small bills for large bills and used different tricks and distractions to confuse the clerk while exchanging the money. In total they stole $2,250, police said.

Both suspects are described as Black males in their 30s. One suspect is described as having a heavy build and was wearing a white t-shirt and khaki cargo shorts during the incident. The second suspect is described as having an average height and build and was wearing a polo style shirt and light colored pants.

Anyone who recognizes either one of these suspects, or has any information regarding this case, is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-8477(TIPS), or on-line at www.crimestoppersofelpaso.org.

You can remain anonymous and could qualify for a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest.
