EPPD: Motorcyclist killed in wreck was speeding, riding drunk and not wearing helmet

El Paso Police identified the motorcyclist killed in a wreck early Friday morning as 37-year-old Eduardo Morales.

The wreck happened shortly after 2 a.m. on the 3400 block of Global Reach in East El Paso.

Police said Morales was riding a 1984 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Global Reach when he struck a curb and was thrown off the motorcycle.

Morales, who police said was not wearing a helmet, suffered a severe head injury and died at the scene.

Investigators believe Morales was riding drunk and speeding. The wreck remains under investigation.
