Legendary Eastwood basketball coach Gary Pippen reportedly stepping down
Legendary Eastwood High School basketball coach Gary Pippen is planning to step down, according to sources.
Coach Pippen has taught at Eastwood High for more than five decades and been the boys basketball head coach for a quarter-century.
He was on the staff when coach Bobby Lesley brought home the state title in 1976.
Sources tell ABC-7 there was a dispute over teaching classes he was not interested in teaching.
Pippen is considered by many to be a living legend within the community.
