Police identify man killed outside Club Hush, issue arrest warrant for murder suspect
El Paso Police Monday issued an arrest warrant for 27-year-old Ahmond Shariff Williams for the murder of 32-year-old Demarquiz Quintev Smith.
The victim, a resident of Fort Bliss, Texas, was shot and killed outside Club Hush at 8216 Dyer in Northeast El Paso, police said.
Police said Williams is not originally from El Paso and has not been arrested, but is wanted for the murder.
The El Paso Police Department will provide a photo of Williams when it no longer hinders the investigation, police said.
Police offices assigned to the Northeast Regional Command Center responded to a shots fired call at 8216 Dyer just after 5:00 a.m. on Sunday July 15, 2018.
The preliminary investigation revealed Smith was exiting the club parking lot in a vehicle, when shots were fired at Smith’s vehicle, police said.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to William Beaumont Army Medical Center by a private party. He later died at the hospital.
