UTEP picked to finish tied for last in division in C-USA football media poll

The 2018 Conference USA football media poll has been released, and members of the media have low expectations for the Miners.

UTEP, which is coming off a winless season in 2017, was picked to finish in a tie for last place in the West Division along with Rice.

Four different teams in the West received at least one first place vote. North Texas was chosen as the clear favorite in the division.

As for the East Division, Lane Kiffin’s Florida Atlantic team was the easy call at number one. FAU got 22 first place votes out of a possible 26 while Marshall claimed the other four.

The Miners will begin the 2018 season at home against Northern Arizona on September 1.
