UTEP men’s basketball team will play at Arizona on Nov. 14

We’re still waiting for the 2018-19 UTEP men’s basketball schedule to be finalized, but we know there is at least one marquee matchup early in the season.

The University of Arizona released its non-conference schedule Thursday, which includes a game in Tucson against the Miners on Nov. 14.

The time has not yet been determined. There is also no information regarding a possible television broadcast just yet.

The Miners and Wildcats have had some great battles over the years going back to their old WAC days and in the years since then.

The teams met in December of 2014 in a memorable game at the Don Haskins Center when Arizona was ranked third in the country. The Wildcats managed to escape that day with a 60-55 win.

UTEP also secured a signature win in Tucson in the first round of the 1987 NCAA Tournament, knocking off Arizona 98-91 in overtime behind a clutch performance from Jeep Jackson.
