Students can get free backpacks at UMC event this weekend
El Paso’s University Medical Center is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its Outpatients Clinic.
In celebration, the center is holding an event where students can receive free backpacks. To be eligible, they have to schedule or receive immunizations or school physicals on July 28.
The event is happening at both locations, UMC East at 1521 Joe Battle and UMC West at 6600 N. Desert Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be cake, music, tours, health screenings and sports physicals at Saturday’s event.
