Rodney Terry releases 2018-19 UTEP men’s basketball schedule
UTEP men’s basketball head coach Rodney Terry released the team’s 2018-19 schedule Monday afternoon.
That schedule includes games against Arizona, Marquette, New Mexico, and NMSU prior to Conference USA play.
“We’re excited about announcing our 2018-19 schedule. Coach [Lamont] Smith has done a great job with our scheduling, and considering the timeframe that we had to work with when we started,” Terry said.
The schedule is complete with the exception of C-USA games beyond Feb. 23. Those games will be announced at a later date as the conference experiments with “smart scheduling” in an effort to get more teams into the NCAA Tournament.
UTEP’s first regular season game will be Nov. 6 at home against UT Permian Basin. That follows a lone exhibition game on Oct. 30 vs. New Mexico Highlands at the Don Haskins Center.
