Man, 65, dies at UMC days after being hit by car in Las Cruces
A 65-year-old man has died after he was hit by a car Sunday night in Las Cruces, authorities confirm.
The Las Cruces Police Department said Julian Holguin died Wednesday at El Paso’s University Medical Center. He was transported there after he was hit by a Toyota 4-Runner on Utah Avenue near El Paseo Road 6 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the driver of the Toyota 4-Runner, as well as another driver who witnessed the crash, remained on the scene.
Holguin was first sent to Mountainview Regional Medical Center when emergency officials decided to transport him to UMC where he died.
LCPD continues to investigate the crash.
