UPDATE: Pebble Hills still closed off as authorities investigate shooting at police substation
Pebble Hills eastbound at Lee Trevino remained closed off Thursday morning as authorities investigated scene of a deadly shooting.

One man is dead following an officer involved shooting in east El Paso that happened outside the Pebble Hills Regional Command Center.
According to El Paso police, they received a call saying that a man was armed and in the parking lot of the command center. Police say that several people were inside, as well as officers, when the man arrived.
When police went out to confront the man shots rang out and he was killed. No officers were injured during the shooting.
Texas Rangers are currently at the scene investigating, which is customary during an officer-involved shooting. The bomb squad was also on the scene to check the mans vehicle for anything suspicious.
Pebble Hills from Lee Trevino west is currently closed to traffic.
The motive behind the shooting and the identity of the deceased man has yet to be released. An ABC-7 crew is at the scene gathering more information.
