Donated purses to be collected Saturday during ‘Power Brunches’

If unused purses are clogging your closets, you have an opportunity to donate them this weekend.
The Women’s Fund of El Paso is hosting a grass-roots style Power Brunch event across El Paso to collect new and gently used purses for their signature fundraiser “Power of the Purse.”
If you would like to donate purses, you can also drop them off at the following locations:

The Power of the Purse event started with an idea to auction a purse donated by a celebrity to support scholarships for single mothers.
It has expanded to include donated bags from women in the community that will be sold or auctioned off, with the money going to a scholarship fund and empowerment programs overseen by the Women’s Fund.
The fund has awarded over $240,000 in scholarships to women in the El Paso community.
The Power of the Purse will be held on March 1, 2019 at The Epic Railyard event center. The brunches are being held across the city by 16 men and women. Find out how you can attend a brunch.
