Families enjoy warm weather with Fun Fest

Warm days ahead and El pasoans today did not waste a moment to enjoy the temperatures. The El Paso Fun Fest kept a lot of families happy on the east side, people were making the most out of this comfortable autumn weather,

It was a warm enjoyable day Saturday, with winter approaching dozens hundreds of people headed out to Marty Robbins parks to enjoy the fifth annual El Paso Fun Fest, with children dancing on a stage, booths, games and food all around.

“It’s a day that we want to take advantage of the last day of nice weather in El Paso before the winter,” said Enrique Valadez, of El Paso Parks and Rec.

Families came out, their dogs enjoying the park as much as the children Some parents took advantage of the funfest using it as a reward.

“My son received some little coupons in school for perfect attendance, so I came with both of my kids and my husband,” said Adriana Villaseñor.

Regardless of the reason, children we spoke with were having fun and enjoying the games and inflatables.

“We liked where you throw the balls and then you knock down the cups, you have to earn prizes,” said young Roberto Salazar.

“Some boxing, a lot of candy, and we went on a jumping balloon,” chimed in Mariel Moreno.

With or without children, and many people bringing their pets, it seemed everyone at the fun fest was enjoying the mild weather the Sun CIty has before winter comes barreling down in the desert.

“We’re gonna eat, just hit a couple of the vendors, and just enjoy the shows I guess,’ said Adrian Mcknzie.

The Fun Fest runs every year at Marty Robbins park.
