UPDATE: I-10 at North Mesa open in both directions
UPDATE: The Texas Department of Transportation office in El Paso tweeted shortly before 10 a.m. that both I-10 East and West have reopened.

El Paso police officers have closed off both directions of I-10 at North Mesa Monday morning, and it will remain closed until noon.
EPPD told ABC-7 that the closure was due to a downed telecommunications line, but it’s not known what caused it to go down.
El Paso Electric crews are on the scene, according to emergency dispatchers, who also said the line was on the freeway.
