Person in custody after shooting at Las Cruces motel

Police in Las Cruces have a person in custody after a shooting at the Kirby Motel.

The shooting was reported shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday. The motel is located on Main Street off El Paseo.

Police said paramedics transported a wounded person to the hospital.

The investigation continues. The person in custody has not been charged.
