City Council set to vote on land swap deal to secure Great Wolf Lodge

City Council could take another step on Tuesday to bring an upscale convention center hotel and water park to El Paso.

City representatives are scheduled to take a vote during their meeting that would allow a land swap between the city and a company overseen by billionaire businessman Paul Foster.

That land swap is part of a deal to open a Great Wolf Lodge in Northwest El Paso.

ABC-7 has reported that the city land that’s being traded is in Northeast El Paso and is appraised at $18.6 million.
