UTEP continues conference play against UTSA

The UTEP Mens Basketball team is in conference play now. The Miners took on the Roadrunners last Thursday and lost 75 to 60 in San Antonio.

It was “Noche Latina” night in the Don Haskins Center.

Miners start the party with the big man Effie Odigie with the spin and one handed shot. UTEP up 2.
The Roadrunners Nick Allen would bury threes all night.
Paul Thomas answers back with threes of his own.
Evan Gillyard would drive the lane and lay it in.
In the second half Tobee Magee would feed Gillyard for multiple assists.
Odigie would show his range hitting jumpers from distance.

Miners though couldn’t get it together in enough time. The Roadrunners were just too much. Gillyard contributed 18 points in the loss as they dropped this one 67 to 63.
UTEP will play North Texas the 10th at the Don Haskins Center.

NMSU is off until the 10th as well when they play GC on Pack the Pan Am night.
