EPPD: Young woman killed in wreck was speeding
Police say the young woman killed in a wreck early Saturday morning was speeding when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a traffic signal pole.
Investigators identified the woman as 21-year-old Victoria Ramos, of the 14300 block of Patriot Point in East El Paso.
The wreck happened at the intersection of Joe Battle and Edgemere at about 1:37 a.m. on March 30, 2019.
” Ms. Ramos died at the scene as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash. No other occupants were with Ms. Ramos at the time of the collision, ” police said.
This is the 15th traffic fatality of 2019 compared to 13 during this same time period in 2018.
EPPD recorded 70 traffic fatalities in 2018.
