El Paso Chihuahuas host Las Vegas in season opener Thursday
The El Paso Chihuahuas will soon be back on the diamond.
The Dogs kickoff their season against the Las Vegas Aviators on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.

Here’s the team’s opening day roster:
Pitchers
Logan Allen: The 21-year-old was the Double-A Texas League Pitcher of the Year in 2018.
Dietrich Enns: The 27-year-old signed with the Padres in December and has previous Major League time with the Minnesota Twins.
Tyler Higgins: The 27-year-old is in his first year with the Padres organization and has previous Pacific Coast League experience with Tacoma.
Jerry Keel: The 25-year-old is returning to the Chihuahuas after joining El Paso at midseason from Double-A in 2018.
Dillon Overton: The 27-year-old is returning for his third season with El Paso and has previous Major League experience with the Padres, Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners.
Luis Perdomo: The 25-year-old pitched in the Major Leagues for the Padres in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Cal Quantrill: The 24-year-old was the eighth overall pick in the 2016 MLB Amateur Draft out of Stanford University.
Gerardo Reyes: The 25-year-old is from Ciudad Victoria, Mexico and split last season between Double-A San Antonio and the Chihuahuas.
Sammy Solis: The 30-year-old signed with the Padres in March and pitched for the Washington Nationals from 2015-2018.
Carlos Torres: The 36-year-old signed with the Padres in January and has nine years of Major League experience.
Brad Wieck: The 27-year-old pitched for the Chihuahuas and appeared in five Major League games for the Padres last season.
Eric Yardley: The 28-year-old didn’t allow any earned runs in eight 2019 Padres Major League Spring Training games.
Position Players
Austin Allen: The 25-year-old hit 22 home runs for Double-A San Antonio last season.
Ty France: The 24-year-old split last season between Double-A San Antonio and El Paso and batted .350 in the Chihuahuas 2018 playoff series versus Fresno.
Michael Gettys: The 23-year-old has 106 career stolen bases in five minor league seasons.
Seth Mejias-Brean: The 27-year-old is in his first season in the Padres organization and has previous Pacific Coast League experience with Tacoma.
Josh Naylor: The 21-year-old was the 12th overall pick in the 2015 MLB Amateur Draft.
Jose Pirela: The 29-year-old has played parts of five seasons in the Major Leagues with the Padres and New York Yankees.
Esteban Quiroz: The 27-year-old is from Ciudad Obregon, Mexico and was acquired from the Boston Red Sox organization this offseason.
Aderlin Rodriguez: The 27-year-old is in his first season in the Padres organization and hit 23 home runs for the Baltimore Orioles Double-A affiliate last year.
Jacob Scavuzzo: The 25-year-old hit 26 home runs between the Los Angeles Dodgers Double-A and Triple-A affiliates last season.
Chris Stewart: The 37-year-old signed with the Padres in January and has played parts of 12 seasons in the Major Leagues.
Luis Urias: The 21-year-old was a Triple-A All-Star with the Chihuahuas and made his MLB debut with the Padres last season.
Jason Vosler: The 25-year-old is in his first season in the Padres organization and has previous Pacific Coast League experience with Iowa.
