Chihuahuas lead late into the game

With Cal Quantrill being called up by the Padres it seemed the Chihuahuas would be lacking in the pitching department.

Logan Allen took the hill Sunday and delievered 5 good innings. Giving up only one run in the 5th.

The Dogs were sitting pretty with a 4-1 lead heading into the 8th inning. Thats when things went bad, fast.

Luis Perdomo came in for relief duty and gave up five hits, four of which scored and a home run.

With two men on Sam Hillard doubled bringing in the base runners and closing the gap to one.

Then more damage was done by Drew Weeks who hit a homer bringing in Hillard and taking the lead.

The Chihuahuas couldnt get anything going in the top of the ninth and left the park with their tails between their legs. Losing 5 to 4.

They will be back in action Monday the 20th.
