A man was struck and killed by a car Thursday night as he ran across Loop 375 near Paisano Drive.
He was with a group of men who sprinted across the highway, police said.
It happened just before 10 p.m. The area is very close to the U.S.-Mexico border.
The man, who has not been identified, was killed after being hit by a car driven by 33-year-old Matthew Duran. Duran was taken to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries, according to police. It is unclear whether he could face any charges.
