El Pasoan killed in I-10 rollover crash in Crockett County

OZONA, Texas -- A 64-year-old El Paso man died in a weekend traffic crash along Interstate 10 about 12 miles east of Ozona in Crockett County.

Texas state troopers said Lorenzo Edward Noriega lost control of his pickup truck early Saturday morning and skidded across the interstate median before overturning.

Noriega died at the scene from head injuries he suffered in the rollover crash despite wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

Investigators blamed distracted driving as the apparent cause of that crash.
