Police looking for person who shot man in Northeast El Paso

EL PASO, Texas - A person was shot in Northeast El Paso early Wednesday morning and police said they're still looking for the person responsible.

The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. at the intersection Mercury Street and Moonlight Avenue, which is a residential area.

The fire department said the person who was shot was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Police have not said if the know what led up to the shooting.
