French actor Gaspard Ulliel, 37, dies after ski accident

LYON, France (AP) — French actor Gaspard Ulliel has died at 37 after a skiing accident in the Alps. Ulliel was known for appearing in Chanel perfume ads as well as film and television roles. He portrayed the young Hannibal Lecter in 2007′s “Hannibal Rising” and fashion mogul Yves Saint Laurent in the 2014 biopic “Saint Laurent.” He also is in the upcoming Marvel series “Moon Knight.” A prosecutor says Ulliel collided with another skier on Tuesday afternoon after making a turn. The other skier was unharmed but Ulliel was knocked unconscious and taken to a hospital. He was pronounced dead on Wednesday afternoon. The House of Chanel was among the many who lamented his death.
