Music of 80’s icons The Go-Go’s featured in Broadway musical presented by UTEP Dinner Theatre
EL PASO, Texas - Songs from 80's icons The Go-Go's and lead singer Belinda Carlisle are woven through a love story set during the Renaissance in the Broadway production "Head Over Heels: The Musical." The show is being presented during July at the UTEP Dinner Theater.
The show's director Josey Pickett talked about the production during ABC-7 at 4.
"Head Over Heels" is a hilarious, exuberant celebration of love that follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction, only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts.
The laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s, including the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth” and “Mad About You.”
Dinner performances are at 7:00 p.m. on July 8, 9, 14, 15, 21, 22, and 23. The performances on July 14 and 21 are discounted performances. All seats/tables are reserved.
There is a discounted matinee dinner performance at 1:30 p.m. on July 10. All seats/tables are reserved. And two no dinner matinee performances with general admission are set for July 17 and 24.
