Sam’s Club membership price hike

BETONVILLE, Arkansas --

Sam's Clube memberships are increasing ins price for the first time in nine years. Sam's Clube CEO, Kath McLay, says that entry level members will see a jump from $45 to $50 a year. Premium members will pay $110, an extra ten bucks per year . Premium memberships also get extra perks with the increase including extended shopping hours.

Parent company Walmart wants to help ease the pain of the price increase. They will offer the difference in Sam's Cash for the first year. The price change will take effect on October 17th.
