50 migrants arrive at processing center in Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico -- Fifty migrants arrived at El Calvario Methodist Church in Las Cruces Wednesday morning. The church has been operating as a "welcoming center" for migrants, and they've been helping to process migrants and find them sponsors.

Fifteen students from Albuquerque traveled to Las Cruces to help process them Wednesday.

The group of migrants is primarily from Ecuador.

The church has already processed more than 5,000 migrants in 2022.

The blocking of Title 42 has left many questions about how many migrants will be coming over the U.S.-Mexico border and how it will affect the surrounding areas.
