Keepers Kitchen Helping Hands serves over 600 meals to migrants, but facing lack of funding

KVIA

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – Local nonprofit Keepers Kitchen Helping Hands LLC provided hot meals to over 600 migrants in downtown El Paso this week, serving up generous portions of chicken teriyaki and fried rice with veggies.

However, the organization's president, Kerry Vogel, has expressed concern that their work may come to an abrupt end due to a lack of funding.

Operating solely on donations, the nonprofit has been coming to downtown El Paso twice a week to provide nourishing meals to those in need, including many migrants who have recently arrived in the area. Unfortunately, without an influx of donations, Vogel fears that Thursday may be their last day of operation.

Vogel has made a plea to local community members, and anyone willing to lend a helping hand to come forward and offer their support.

Donations to Keepers Kitchen Helping Hands LLC can be made contacting the organization directly at 11416 Ed Merrins Dr. El Paso TX 79936
