Celebrating Pride Month in the Borderland
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- June is Pride Month. There will be parades, festivals, and concerts to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
Here in the Borderland we are celebrating big:
Catch the amazing impersonator Loosey Laduca from RuPaul's Drag Race Season 15 performing live at Touch Bar. It will be on Saturday June 3rd at 8pm.

EPIC Bar and Nightclub will have a Pride Dance Party Saturday, June 3rd starting at 10pm. It will be free entry, featuring DJ Xtian & Ricky Leaks.

El Paso Sun City Pride will host the 18th Annual Pride Parade will be on June 10 at Houston Park. It will begin at 10 am.
After the parade everyone is welcome to gather at Houston Park for a family friendly post parade picnic. There will be music, food, non alcoholic drinks and drag performances.

El Paso Sun City Pride will also host the 18th Annual El Paso Sun City Pride Fest at Main Room Events Center at 301 S Ochoa on Saturday, June 24 at 3pm to Sunday, June 25 at 1am.
The indoor and outdoor stages will have headlining performances, showcasing local & regional talent including DJ's, Drag Shows, live bands, and more.
There will also be food, merchandise, and non-profit vendors.

Pride Month Facts:
Pride month started as a tribute to those who took part in the Stonewall riots.
Pride Day itself is June 28th.
It marks the day in 1969 when police raided a gay club in New York City called the Stonewall Inn. It led patrons, staff, and neighborhood residents to riot outside. Protests and clashes continued over six days.
Protesters demanded the creation of places where the LGBTQ+ community could be open about their sexual orientation without having to fear getting arrested.
