Biden cancels meeting with Latino civil rights organization after testing positive for coronavirus

Associated Press

LAS VEGAS (AP) — President Joe Biden has tested positive for the coronavirus while trying to shore up support among disenchanted voters key to his reelection chances. That prompted him to cancel a meeting with members of a Latino civil rights organization in the battleground state of Nevada. After testing positive, Biden was unable to deliver an address to the UnidosUS annual conference in Las Vegas. Biden’s with Latino activists was scheduled as Republicans are hosting their national convention in Milwaukee.
