JERUSALEM (AP) — The first apparent Israeli airstrike in central Beirut in nearly a year of conflict has hit hours after Israel struck targets across Lebanon and killed dozens of people as the Hezbollah militant group sustained a string of deadly blows to its command structure, including the killing of its overall leader, Hassan Nasrallah. The airstrike on Monday hit one apartment in a multistory residential building. An official with the Lebanese Civil Defense says at least one person was killed and 16 people were hurt. Videos showed ambulances and a crowd gathered under the building, where the strike appeared to have targeted an apartment.
