Hundreds trek up Mt. Cristo Rey for annual pilgrimage
SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico (KVIA) -- The Mt. Cristo Rey Restoration Committee welcomed hundreds of faithful as they made their way up Mt. Cristo Rey in their annual pilgrimage.
The pilgrimage started at the base of the mountain as priests offered confessions for the faithful. Then a procession towards the summit where they gathered to pray the rosary.
Bishop Peter Baldacchino of Las Cruces celebrated mass at the summit.
