Fire downtown extinguished

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) --The El Paso Fire Department received a call this morning at 7:59 about smoke in the area near the 1000 block of Texas. EPFD identified a pile of railroad ties that were on fire.

The fire was then quickly knocked down and Union Pacific was contacted to remove the railroad ties. Fire investigators were also called to the scene, and no injuries have been reported.
