Woman found murdered in El Paso’s Lower Valley was gunned down in vacant building
UPDATE, April 9: El Paso police investigators on Friday revealed the identity of a woman who they say was murdered in a vacant building in the Lower Valley.
Detectives indicated 44 –year-old Adriana Hydee Perez died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Perez had apparently been living in the dilapidated building at 123 Malaga Place where she was killed late Wednesday night, police said.
She was discovered by a family member who alerted officers; Perez was then rushed to University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, police said.
As of Friday morning, authorities said no arrests had been made in the slaying.
ORIGINAL REPORT, April 8: EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police Department's Crimes Against Persons detectives were investigating the murder of a woman in El Paso's Lower Valley.
Police were called out to a report of an assault late Wednesday night on the 100 block of Malaga Place.
A spokesman for the police department said when officers arrived they found a woman who had been shot and was unresponsive.
She was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
El Paso police said they currently did not have any suspects, but added that there was no threat to the public.
