10 men from El Paso & Las Cruces arrested in prostitution sting
EL PASO, Texas -- Texas Department of Public Safety special agents arrested ten men in a prostitution sting in the El Paso area last week, officials said Tuesday.
The men arrested are all accused of soliciting sex acts from either children or adults, either in-person or online, a DPS statement said.
The sting operation was part of a DPS Criminal Investigations Division effort targeting human trafficking.
Those arrested were booked in the El Paso County Detention Center on the following charges:
- Alejandro Junior Bustamante, 24, of El Paso, Texas (prostitution)
- Michael Sun Hwang, 30, of El Paso, Texas (online solicitation of a minor)
- William Tyler Andrews, 20, of El Paso, Texas (online solicitation of a minor)
- Jose Luis Mora, 55, of El Paso, Texas (prostitution)
- Edward Spencer Manuel III, 45, of El Paso, Texas (prostitution)
- Albert Lee Sandoval, 61, of Las Cruces, New Mexico (prostitution)
- Darin Andrew Roberts, 48, of El Paso, Texas (prostitution)
- Michael Anthony Brown, 38, of El Paso, Texas (prostitution)
- Gregory Prado, 26, of El Paso, Texas (prostitution)
- Gerardo R. Chavez, 47, of El Paso, Texas (prostitution)
As noted above, DPS officials indicated 9 of those men charged are from El Paso, the tenth is from Las Cruces.
