Crews partially repair sinkhole in Far East El Paso

Update (December 5, 2024): Contractors have "partially completed" repairs on the sinkhole, county officials say.

"Waterline repairs have been completed, as well as trench backfill and compaction activities," a county spokesperson state Thursday. "The next phase of the project involves the reconstruction of approximately 300 linear feet of roadway and 30 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter."


EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Crews are working to repair a Sinkhole that formed on Mission Ridge Blvd. in Far East El Paso.

ABC-7 viewers reported a water outage in the area.

In 2023, ABC-7 previously reported a sinkhole also on Mission Ridge Blvd.

ABC-7 is working to learn what caused the sinkhole and if residents are still without water.
