Border group calls for release of migrant children at Fort Bliss shelter
FORT BLISS, Texas -- The Border Network for Human Rights called for the release of unaccompanied minors at the migrant facility inside Fort Bliss during a protest and vigil on Tuesday.
It comes after BNHR says over 20 former employees at the facility talked about the conditions at Fort Bliss for the minors.
BNHR says the former employees have cited an outbreak of lice, overcrowding of children inside tents with no social distancing, and accusing the facility management of forcing kids to eat raw chicken.
ABC-7 reached out to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a response about these claims but have yet to hear back.
