Socorro ISD extends spring break through April 6 to limit virus spread
SOCORRO, Texas -- The Socorro Independent School District is expanding its spring break in an effort to help limit the spread of coronavirus.
Classes will now resume on April 6, school leaders said in a statement on Friday.
Below is the statement and letter from the superintendent on the change.
Due to growing concerns about COVID-19 and to help limit the spread of potential illness in our community, Socorro ISD will delay the return from our Spring intersession until Monday, April 6, 2020. Read Dr. Espinoza's letter below. pic.twitter.com/pOB25ChjS3
