UTEP warns lifting of Title 42 could disrupt commencement
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- UTEP is warning seniors and their families that the lifting of Title 42 could impact their graduation plans. Title 42 is scheduled to be lifted May 11. Commencement is May 13 and 14.
The university warns families planning to cross over from Juarez for the ceremony that their plans could be disrupted by large groups of migrants at border crossings. UTEP wants everyone to plan accordingly.
To those crossing the international border to celebrate Commencement with us: Be mindful that changes in border policy set to take effect on May 12 may lead to significant wait times at the bridges. Plan ahead if you and your families plan to attend Commencement on May 13 and 14. pic.twitter.com/WcjIm7C6Py
