Inauguration of NMSU President Valerio Ferme

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The inauguration of NMSU's new President Valerio Ferme happened today.

The new president was welcomed with a warm reception from his university's faculty and staff. They wore their ceremonial academic roles for the occasion.

ABC-7 livestreamed the entirety of the event, which started at 8 AM today.

Ferme's new role was announced late last year. He took over the lead role at the university some months ago. Today was his formal inauguration event.
