Residents of Blue Flame apartments complain of no heating or cooling for months
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Several residents of the Blue Flame Apartments in Downtown El Paso are alleging they have not had heating or cooling services since last year.
One resident, Kathyran Johnson, told ABC-7 that residents were advised in a meeting held Monday that floors 2 through 13 have no AC or heating. Johnson said her floor has not had these services for almost 9 months.
Another resident, Irene Chavez, said she has been suffering migraines because her apartment reaches temperatures past 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
Residents told ABC-7 that they were given a "projected" time of June or July to have HVAC again.
ABC-7 has reached out HOME housing authority for comment, we have not yet heard back. This is a developing story, check back for updates.
