Canutillo Independent School District

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Two students attending Northwest Early College High School are now finalists for the QuestBridge National College Match, which grants low-income high school seniors full four-year scholarships.

Austin Camañez and Esmeralda Martinez are now waiting to hear whether they will receive full ride scholarships.

“We are proud of Austin and Esmeralda for all their hard work throughout high school to afford them this great opportunity,” said NWECHS Principal Frank Clark. “We are rooting for them to receive a college match and full ride scholarship."

The QuestBridge program works with dozens of universities nationwide. Those include prestigious institutions such as Duke, Princeton, Stanford, UChicago, and Yale.

The program has helped over 12,000 students since its inception in 2003.
