Fresenius Medical Care to demonstrate home hemodialysis options for patients

Fresenius Medical Care is partnering with hemodialysis patient Richard Amaro to educate El Pasoans about their options for dialysis, including home hemodialysis (HHD). On December 14 and 15, Amaro is traveling around El Paso in an RV to demonstrate how many patients have the option to receive their dialysis in the comfort of their own homes or while they’re traveling, giving them more flexibility to live their lives.

Amaro says since switching from receiving his dialysis in-clinic to HHD, he is feeling healthier and has more energy and time to spend with his family. He can now take his machine with him to cheer on his granddaughter as she travels city to city to compete in cheerleading competitions.

On December 14, he traveled to FMC El Paso West from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

On Friday December 15, he will be at FMC Horizon on 12245 Rojas Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
