EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Independent School District sent a message to Coronado High School parents regarding lockdown protocols at the campus.

The campus was on lockdown at 12:01 p.m. and lifted by 12:15 p.m.

The district said the protocols were initiated as an over abundance of caution after an incident near the school involving local law enforcement was reported.
