Power restored following outages impacting hundreds in Santa Teresa, Horizon City

MGN

SANTA TERESA, New Mexico -- Power outages Friday impacted hundreds of customers in separate outages impacting Santa Teresa and Horizon City.

An afternoon outage in Santa Teresa left about 570 El Paso Electric Co. customers without power for about an hour. A utility spokesman said a damaged fuse that needed to be replaced was the cause of that outage.

Earlier Friday, just under 1,100 customers lost power when a semi-truck knocked down an electric pole in Horizon City. That outage lasted just over an hour before all had their power restored.
