Tyson scores 20, Seattle U knocks off UT Arlington 76-61

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Cameron Tyson scored 20 points as Seattle beat UT Arlington 76-61 on Saturday for its fourth win in a row.

Tyson shot 6 for 10 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 6 of 7 from the free throw line for the Redhawks (12-4, 3-0 Western Athletic Conference). Alex Schumacher finished 6 of 9 from the field to add 15 points. Riley Grigsby was 5-of-10 shooting (2 for 4 from distance) to finish with 12 points.

The Mavericks (5-12, 0-4) were led by Shemar Wilson, who recorded 18 points and eight rebounds. UT Arlington also got 13 points and seven assists from Kyron Gibson. Chendall Weaver also put up 11 points and six rebounds.

The Mavericks have lost five games in a row.

NEXT UP

These two teams both play Thursday. Seattle U hosts New Mexico State while UT Arlington visits Grand Canyon.
