NMSU women’s head basketball coach fired

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico -- NMSU Athletic's Director Mario Moccia announced today Brooke Atkinson's contract will not be renewed.

After five seasons as head coach, Atkinson compiled an overall record of 75-68 and had one appearance in the NCAA tournament.

An immediate search for her replacement has begun.
