RUIDOSO, New Mexico - The McBride fire Facebook page posted an update just before 4 p.m. indicating the McBride fire is now 100% contained.

The McBride fire began April 12, 2022 around 4 p.m. The fire spread to homes as it moved northwest. There were two confirmed fatalities and over 200 structures burned.
